Nanowrimo Virtual - The Call to Adventure In-Person

Now that we know the who, what, and where (well we hope we know) let's get down to the why. Your character, of maybe characters, look mighty comfortable in ther Ordinary World of flying dragons, light sabers, and Wheaties. Now you can stay cozy at home with your pet lion for the next 50,000 words, but trust me, that gets hard to write after about 10k of rambling. Thus your character(s) will need a reason to leave. Something will need to come along to rock their world completely. This can be something or someone in the physical sense of the world, a three headed guru dog in a tutu, perhaps toting prophecy. Or maybe something closer to home, such as a dark, strange contagion that has swept your character's home world into chaos and made everyone who steps outside dance the funky chicken until they pass out. (Sounds weird I know. Its not as far fetched as you might think, though, look up Stasbourg 1518.)
