Arizona's Ghost Towns In-Person

Although Arizona has seen remarkable growth over the years, some of its cities and town have gone from boom to bust due to shifting economic realities or other hardships. Abandoned parks, schools, and trading posts share fascinating histories and, if examined closely, reveal glimpses of their former, vibrant existences. Professor, author, and photographer Susan Tatterson captures the historically-significant essence of structures left behind by Arizona’s formative cycles of growth, decay, and restoration. Her book features several Arizona ghost towns and lesser-known spots: Cleator, Phoenix Trotting Park, Chloride, Black Canyon City Dog Track, Route 66 Trading Posts, Vulture Mine, the Drover’s Shed, Two Guns, Ruby, and the Domes.

The public is invited to attend a free presentation from author Susan Tatterson , who will take us on a photographic journey through Arizona as she discusses her bookAbandoned Arizona: Ghost Towns and Legends.

You may purchase Susan's book at the event.
