Libraries Rock: Arizona Kicks on Route 66 In-Person
Marshall Shore shares Arizona's history of U.S. Route 66, known as the “Mother Road." Built in 1926, Route 66 ran from Chicago to L.A. and during the depression of the 1930s, became the major path by which people migrated west, seeking work, warm weather and new opportunities.
This Summer Reading Program was made possible by contributions from the Friends of the Chandler Public Library and Maricopa County Public Library.
