May 30th – Bicycle Thieves (1948) dir. Vittorio DeSica
The enduring power of Vittorio De Sica's heartbreaking Italian neo-realist classic lies in its simplicity and ruthless symmetry. A man and his son search for his stolen bicycle in post-war Italy. Among one of the most accessible foreign films, critically hailed and universally adored.
