Classic Foreign Film Series In-Person

The Chandler Downtown Public Library will be showing classic foreign films every Wednesday in May, starting at 6PM. You’ve heard the names before – Godard, Bergman, Kurosawa – but have you seen the films? Come see what you’re missing, and if these aren’t new to you, re-watch these classics on the big screen, featuring some of the most influential and best loved movies of all time.

May 30th – Bicycle Thieves (1948) dir. Vittorio DeSica
The enduring power of Vittorio De Sica's heartbreaking Italian neo-realist classic lies in its simplicity and ruthless symmetry. A man and his son search for his stolen bicycle in post-war Italy. Among one of the most accessible foreign films, critically hailed and universally adored.
