Classic Foreign Film Series In-Person
The Chandler Downtown Public Library will be showing classic foreign films every Wednesday in May, starting at 6PM. You’ve heard the names before – Godard, Bergman, Kurosawa – but have you seen the films? Come see what you’re missing, and if these aren’t new to you, re-watch these classics on the big screen, featuring some of the most influential and best loved movies of all time.
May 23rd – Breathless (1960) dir. Jean-Luc Godard
Jean-Luc Godard's classic entry into the French New wave is one of the most influential films of all time. A gangster, on the run from the law, hides with his American girlfriend in Paris. A truly revolutionary film brimming with energy and spontaneity.
