America in Times of Conflict: Film + Forum- Debt of Honor: Disabled Veterans in American History In-Person
Explore the experiences of disabled veterans throughout American history with the PBS film, “Debt of Honor: Disabled American Veterans in American History.” This 2015 film reveals how the American government and society as a whole have regarded disabled veterans, from the Revolutionary war to the present. Following the film, Sr. Vice Commander John Burden fro from the local Disabled American Veterans Department of Arizona will share the challenges that current disabled veterans face, as well as the services that are available to them and their families. This program is supported by the Arizona State Library, Archives & Public Records, and the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
