America in Times of Conflict: She Went to War- Women's Stories of Military Service In-Person
Once limited to secretarial, nursing, or other traditional female positions in the U.S. military, women now can serve in any position for which she qualifies. Explore how women’s roles in the military have changed dramatically through the stories of three local women who served overseas in Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan. This program will be moderated by Colonel Wanda Wright, Director of the Arizona Department of Veterans Services. This program is supported by the Arizona State Library, Archives & Public Records and the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
